The Outstanding Blogger Award

Lately, I have been nominated for the Outstanding Blogger Award by the lovely Jess from the blog Comfort Reads. Her questions are mainly about my bookish habits and goals for 2021 so I will be very happy to share it all with you right now, right before the start of the new year. If you want to do this award, feel 100% free to do it as you are my nominee. I technically should nominate 10 bloggers, but I would prefer nominating you all as there has been too many awards I would have liked participating in the last few years but have not. I want you all to be able to take part in this, as all of you are outstanding!

Rules

  • Provide a link back to the creators original post ( This award was originally created by Colton Beckwith).
  • Answer the questions provided.
  • Create 7 unique questions.
  • Nominate 10 bloggers. Ensure that they are aware of their nomination. Neither the award’s creator, nor the blogger that nominated you, can be nominated.
  • At the end of 2020, every blog that ping-backs the creator’s original post will be entered to win the 2020 Outstanding Blogger Award.

My answers are…

What Is Your Main Goal For 2021?

My main goal is to live slower. I am already a minimalist and trying to live a slower lifestyle but as someone who is rather *too* productive and and very impatient when it comes to achieving my goals, I know that my number one goal must be to slow it all down in 2021.

Sticking To The Theme of 2021, What Are You Most Looking Forward To Next Year?

I am looking forward to spending more time reading ans taking care of myself. I think that 2021 won’t be much different than 2020 in the sense that I do not think we will be able to travel safely again, so I would like to use what I learnt in 2020 in order not to feel so impatient about traveling. I would love to use that unexpected time at home in my lovely France to spend more time with myself, simply reading and enjoying great coffee.

What Is One Genre You Just Don’t Get Along With?

I think the question refers to books and I must answer romance. I have nothing against great romance in books but I never really managed to get myself into a book mainly focusing on romance. I want either action or history surrounding that romance if that makes sense.

Where Is Your Favourite Place To Read?

We have a hammock in our home gym and even though a home gym may not seem like the coziest place to read, it is definitely my go to spot whenever I want to chill for hours with a good book. When we are not in lockdown, I also love spending time in a nice coffee shop downtown.

What Is Your Favourite Season?

I feel like most book lovers give that answer so it won’t be much of a surprise but that is autumn. It always gives me such a Gilmore Girls vibe.

Why Did You Start Blogging?

I was 15 when I started blogging and what got me into it was basically a want to share my thoughts outside of social media. I do not have social media anymore but at the time, I did not feel “bold” enough to delete it all but wanted a place to still be able to share in a way that did not involve these online spaces I did not like. Thus, I chose blogging and never looked back!

What Made You Continue Blogging?

Contrary to what most people think, I think there is something special in having a small following. When I started, I had around 10 page views a week (at most) and it was quite cool as I felt free to post absolutely anything and everything ; after all, nobody cared as nobody could see. In the beginning, the small following is what kept me blogging: it was empowering. With years, it is the beauty of sharing my advice and having my voice be heard. I do not think that I am particularly talented at giving advice, but I know that sometimes, even a thing that looks obvious to you can change the day of someone else, and that is what I find beautiful in blogging.

My questions for you are…

  • What is your favorite topic to blog about?
  • Do you think it is important to leave comments under the posts of other bloggers? Why?
  • What is your favorite hot drink to keep by your side while you are writing?
  • What is your number one tip for a blogger who would consider quitting?
  • What is your favorite place to write in?
  • Do you think that reading the posts of other bloggers is a great source of inspiration? Why?
  • What is your favorite thing about blogging?

I really hope that you liked today’s post. It is a little “bonus” post but I loved how the question suited perfectly this time of the year. Once again, feel free to take part in this award, I would be so happy to read your answers to my questions. Take great care,
