The Liebster Award.

I got nominated last August by the wonderful Keneshacollins.com, the adorable Blue Belle Blonde & the sweet Roselljardinico.com in the context of the Liebster Award and I could not be happier! I had seen that award all over the Internet and found it really fun so you can imagine my happiness when she told me I was one of her nominees. ♡ My Answers ♡

If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

It would definitely be Indian food! If I had to choose one dish, I would say Cheese Naans even though technically, it is not totally Indian. I read somewhere that it has been created in Indian restaurants in France in order to mix French food (cheese) and Indian food (naans) but let’s be fair, I love it too much to care! In general, Indian food is my favorite because of the endless vegetarian options!

What is your favorite form of writing and why?

I would say committed novels, or any book that has several layers of meaning. Usually, I find it in dystopias and children’s books. I think that the mix between the entertaining format of the novel (or children’s novel/series) and a strong message is really smart form the authors. A relaxed reader is, indeed, readier to receive important or disruptive messages (such as the numerous messages one can find in the The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood) and thus, the message is made stronger by the format of the book. In an essay, the ideas would be harder to grasp and accept.

If money were no object, what is one thing you would do for a living?

Writer. Definitely, professional writer. I would write books, obviously (novels and essays especially), but also articles and I would help other people write the stories of their dreams, through courses for instance.

What is your favorite food?

I won’t repeat “cheese naans” so let’s say cheese pizza because those two have a special place in my heart. Basically, I am a French stereotype: CHEESE.

What is your favorite book, movie, or play?

There are sooooo many! Usually, if I finish a book, that means I love it because there are so many books available that I would not bother spending my time on something I half-like. So let’s cheat a little bit with that question and give one name per category:

Book: The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood.

Play: The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde.

Movie: Interstellar by Christopher Nolan.

If you could visit any 3 countries, where would you go?

I would love to visit numerous countries as travelling is one of my passions but if I had to choose, I would say: Nepal, Estonia & Finland.

Who is your biggest inspiration and why?

My mom, definitely. She always worked very hard to raise us, my brother and I, the best way possible and all by herself while woking full-time, reading books, exercising and being always kind. She is definitely a role-model.

What is your favorite time of the day to write and why?

I prefer writing really early in the morning. My favorite time is when my boyfriend starts work at 4 a.m and that I can wake-up at the same time as he does, eat breakfast with him and start writing. This early, the whole entire world seems to be sleeping and I can really listen to my own thoughts without fearing any interruption.

If you could go back in time, and change anything in your life, what would it be and why?

I would not change anything. Not that I have never made bad decisions, I definitely have, but I love the life I live today. By changing anything, even the smallest tiny little detail, I would take the risk of changing my current reality, and I love my life too much to do that.

What 3 things make you the happiest?

I would say: cold weather, books & time spent with people I love.

What is one goal you’ve like to accomplish in the next ten years and why?

Living more in the present is definitely my lifetime goal. I am naturally a rather anxious woman. In the last 4 years, I have worked so much on that and I do not feel as anxious as I used to. I am even rather relaxed most of the time, which is really impressive when you know where I come from. However, I know I can still improve and I know that by living more in the present, I will definitely be able to reduce anxiety even more. Thus, that is my number one goal for the years to come.
